A Timely Intervention: Ramesh's Road To Recovery

Once upon a time in Tadkeswar, little Ramesh was grappling with sleepless nights and persistent dry cough for more than three days. His worried father, who worked in the nearby factory, observed that the fever came and went, adding to the family’s concern.

One Thursday, the Mobile Medical Unit (MMU) was scheduled to reach Tadkeswar. Sensing an opportunity, Ramesh’s father wasted no time and promptly brought his son to the designated location for a check-up. However, work commitments forced him to leave for his job, leaving Ramesh’s mother to take charge of the situation.

Upon an initial screening, the MMU doctor recognised the need for specialised consultation. Thanks to the well-equipped MMU, a tele-speciality consultation with an Apollo paediatrician was promptly arranged. Despite the distance, within just 15 minutes, the paediatrician was virtually present to assess Ramesh’s condition.

The diagnosis revealed that Ramesh was suffering from chest congestion, requiring immediate nebuliser treatment. The Apollo GNM swiftly provided the necessary medication, ensuring Ramesh received the care he needed. With his father at work, it was Ramesh’s mother who became the bridge for the tele-speciality consultation.

A week later, the Apollo team made a thoughtful home visit to check on Ramesh’s family. Much to their delight, the child had recovered from both the fever and cough. During the visit, an outreach worker took the opportunity to educate the family on basic precautionary measures, emphasising the importance of consuming warm and clean water for overall well-being.
