Construction of Community Halls in Kachchh District

For community well-being and social cohesion through the development of essential infrastructure, GMDC-GVT has taken up the construction of community halls in various places like Mata No Madh, Naliya, Chher and Dador in the Kachchh district. These community halls are designed to serve as vital hubs for social, cultural and civic activities, addressing the diverse needs of the communities.

Community halls play a crucial role in rural and urban areas alike, providing a versatile space that caters to multiple functions. The community halls constructed by GMDC-GVT are equipped to support:

  • Organising and celebrating festivals, weddings, and other personal milestones, fostering joy and community pride.

  • Disseminating important public information regarding various government schemes, conducting awareness programs and hosting educational sessions on health, sanitation and social well-being, ensuring that community members are well-informed and engaged.

  • Serving as temporary shelter for the community in disaster situations, especially for people who live in Kutcha houses.

  • Providing a stage for cultural and traditional events.
