A 6-year old boy from Kadipani area was brought to the Kadipani MMU on 5th April with right parotid swelling with mild fever for the past two days. His vitals were in normal range and his temperature was 98.7°F. He was examined by the MMU doctor and diagnosed with Mumps (Parotitis) and was prescribed Acetaminophen 125 mg/5 ml oral syrup, Amoxicillin 200 mg and Clavulanic 28.5 mg/5 ml oral syrup. He was advised lot of rest and fluids. The boy was followed up on the 12th and 19th April and was found to have recovered well from the viral infection
