At GMDC-Gramya Vikas Trust (GVT), our commitment to improving health and sanitation in our operational areas is a top priority. In collaboration with Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd., we are proud to operate six Mobile Medical Units (MMUs) across Kutch, Bhavnagar, Surat, Bharuch, and Chhotaudepur districts in Gujarat, as well as Angul and Sundergarh districts in Odisha. These MMUs are instrumental in providing accessible and quality healthcare services to remote and underserved communities, ensuring that medical attention is available where it is most needed.
Building on the significant success and impactful outcomes of our current MMUs, we are expanding our reach by launching two additional units in Gujarat. This expansion reflects our dedication to enhancing healthcare accessibility and our belief in the power of mobile medical services to transform lives.
To further our healthcare mission, GMDC-GVT has engaged KPMG Consultancies as a transaction advisor for several key projects. These include the upliftment of the existing hospital at Akrimota Thermal Power Station in Kutch District and the health clinic at the Fluorspar Project in Kadipani. Additionally, we are focusing on health projects in Angul and Sundergarh Districts of Odisha, aiming to upgrade and expand healthcare facilities to better serve these regions.
In the sphere of sanitation, GMDC-GVT is dedicated to fostering cleaner and healthier environments. We are allocating funds to NASA Foundation on monthly basis for the operation and maintenance of toilet blocks for truck drivers, cleaners, and nearby villagers at our Lignite Projects in Mata No Madh, Kutch District, and Rajpardi in Bharuch District. This initiative ensures that essential sanitation facilities are available to those who need them most, promoting better hygiene and health.
Moreover, we are proud supporters of the “My Liveable City” initiative by the Bharuch District administration. This project focuses on cleaning and maintaining roads, beautifying walls and flyovers, and spreading awareness through Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) activities. Our contributions help enhance the living conditions and overall aesthetic of the district, creating a more pleasant and healthy environment for residents.
In addition, GMDC-GVT has provided a garbage tipper to the Ravapar Gram Panchayat in Nakhatrana, Kutch District, and three tractor tipper trailers to the civic body of Ambaji for effective waste management. These resources are vital for maintaining cleanliness and proper waste disposal in these areas, supporting sustainable and hygienic community living.
At GMDC-Gramya Vikas Trust, our health and sanitation initiatives are driven by a deep commitment to community welfare. By partnering with renowned organizations and leveraging expert consultancy, we strive to deliver impactful solutions that address the healthcare and sanitation needs of our operational regions. Our ongoing efforts and future plans reflect our dedication to building healthier, cleaner, and more sustainable communities.
